Monarch Mountain Located at the top of the Continental Divide, Monarch recieves huge amounts of snow from every angle. We offer lift served, hike-to, and snowcat terrain to choose from. Over 800 acres of in-bounds and an additional 1000 + acres of snowcat terrain make skiing/riding Monarch an unforgettable experience. If you're new to the sport, our friendly and patient instructors will show you the ropes without making you feel uncomfortable.

Improvements for this SeasonThis season we've remodeled the Ski School/Rental Center adding a new reservation system including additional reservation kiosks, a new will call center, new boot drying system, and new demo skis. We;ve also added signeage around the mountain and a new entrance sign. Our popular run, sleepy Hollow has been widened and a new beginner terrain park, Tilt has been added.
Local Recreation OptionsBackcountry touring is available around Monarch Pass. Cross-country skiing is great on the Old Monarch Pass road which runs along our southern ski area boundary. If summer activities are your thing, The Upper Arkansas Valley offers world class rafting, kayaking, and fishing on the Arkansas River. Peak baggers will rejoice on our many 14ners. Mountain biking is in a class of its own.
