Improvements for this Season
Numerous improvements have been implemented going into the 2008-2009 winter season. $14 million in summer spending has occurred at Sunday River, including installing the first Chondola in the Northeast and 12-hour skiing with the addition of lights, expansive snowmaking upgrades, many behind the scenes technical system upgrades and refurbishments at both Grand Hotels. These upgrades represent the largest resort investment in 10 years.
Local Recreation Options
After the lifts close, you'll find plenty to do, ranging from the on-mountain White Cap Fun Center with lift-service snow tubing and an ice skating rink, to local snowshoeing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, cross country skiing and more.
