Improvements for this Season
The past five years have been filled with improvements including four new chairlifts, restaurant renovations, a five acre addition dedicated to beginners, three new terrain parks, and enhanced terrain including tree skiing and new trails. Additional improvements include the Panoramic Express, North America’s highest high-speed six-person chairlift offering faster access to over 1,123 acres in Vasquez Cirque, Parsenn Bowl, and Eagle Wind plus 100 acres of enhanced terrain with two new intermediate trails. The Village at Winter Park has also undergone some exciting developments in the past year, including new retail and restaurant locations.
Local Recreation Options
Winter Park Resort’s Tour Center offers scenic snowcat and guided snowshoe tours. Activities in the surrounding area include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, horse-drawn sleigh rides, dog sled rides, snow tubing, ice-skating, day spas, and shopping.
Lift prices are determined by seven different seasons: Early - 11/18/09-11/25/09; Pre-Holiday Season – 11/26/09 - 12/18/09; Holiday Season– 12/19/09 - 1/3/10; Regular Season – 1/4/10 - 2/12/10 and 3/29/10 - 4/11/10; Early Spring - 2/13/10 - 3/12/10; Spring Break - 3/13/10 - 3/28/10; Late Season 4/12/09 - 4/19/09.
Rental Comments
Ski, telemark ski, snowboard, and snowblade rentals are available at convenient locations at the base of Winter Park Mountain in West Portal Rental & Repair and at Winter Park Rentals in the Zephyr Mountain Lodge. Rentals are also available at The Jane Shop at the Mary Jane base. Prices include free overnight storage.
